Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is seeking an Entertainment Programmer for Sports & Social to create an unforgettable experience for guests. The role involves curating the atmosphere through music and interactive entertainment while operating sound and visual systems during events.

Responsibilities

Play music to create and maintain atmosphere and/or keep people engaged throughout their experience

Choose music to suit your audience’s taste and the venue’s music policy

Interacting and have a good sense of humor with the public

Feed off the crowd and get the crowd involved with the activities and events of the venue for entertainment value

May operate lighting and visual effects in time to the music/atmosphere

Creating a run of show for game watching experiences

Handling objects, microphones, cables, and other sound system products

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Work experience with performing live, specifically with DJing for events/parties/nightclubs

Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency

Familiarity with a range of equipment such as mixers, microphones, and amplifiers

Have knowledge of music trends

Must be comfortable on the microphone for contest and guest interaction

Must speak English fluently, other languages preferred

Excellent interpersonal skills

Thorough knowledge of approved Responsible Gaming Program

Flexible work schedule

Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds

Standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling

Must be able to work in smoke filled environments

Use of stairs and elevators
