The Vice President-Mission will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure that the Mercy mission is reflected in the decision-making processes and daily activities of the organization.

Responsibilities

Provides strategic and operational leadership in planning, developing, directing and evaluating organizational efforts to integrate the Mercy mission and values and our Catholic identity into the decisions and activities of the leadership and into the day-to-day operations of the people serving in the Mercy health ministry

Required

Minimum of five years healthcare experience
Must have senior management leadership experience
Master's degree in theology with a specialization in mission services, or a commitment to work toward this degree, is required
Master's degree in theology or ethics is acceptable
Demonstrated knowledge with ability to communicate and apply the knowledge in the following areas: Catholic theology, ecclesiology, ministry, and those aspects of canon law pertinent to healthcare
Personal and organizational spirituality
Clinical, business, and organizational ethics, and social justice
Organizational dynamics, i.e., adult learning, group process, organizational culture, change management, healthcare management and financing, and collaboration
