Responsibilities

Manage underwriting, annotation, and data entry for searches provided by third-party resources, ensuring accurate and consistent Title Reports and Search Data Schedules

Apply proper underwriting codes and follow established workflows, routing complex legal and underwriting questions to State Counsel as needed

Oversee production of Title Reports, Search Data Schedules to meet turn times, service levels, and regulatory/compliance standards

Use SoftPro Select for task management, workflow, and data standards to ensure reports are accurate, on-brand, and delivered on time

Participate in and support the final quality review process, communicating with Search and Client Support Coordinators when additional information or clarification is needed

Track and document performance with third-party providers to help measure and improve overall quality

Provide backup as needed across domains and assist management with onboarding and cross-training initiatives

Required

5+ years of experience abstracting, examining, underwriting, and/or issuing title insurance policies

Experience with South Carolina searches and Title

Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to spot risk and inconsistencies quickly

Proven track record of reliability, follow-through, and a strong work ethic in a production-driven environment

Solid organizational and process management skills—you're comfortable managing multiple files and deadlines at once

Proficient computer skills; prior experience with closing software and SoftPro (SoftPro Select preferred)

Four-year college degree or equivalent training and experience is preferred
