Registered Nurse, Outpatient Internal Medicine
Loyola Medicine is dedicated to treating the whole person, and they are seeking an Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) for their Outpatient Internal Medicine Clinic. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, including triage services and oversight of clinical staff while ensuring quality and effective communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities
Patient Assessment - Functions in the role of patient advocate by being in the position of initial contact for patient-related issues
Patient Care - Reviews and evaluates plan of care, obtains information from patient and/or family, and adds to plan of care as appropriate (Magnet Force #'s 2,6)
Communication - Performs required documentation and communicates in a competent and effective manner to meet patient and/or family needs and regulatory requirements
Work Flow - Assists with the daily oversight of other clinical staff (other nurse and non-nurse staff members) when directed by the manager to maximize work flow in the practice
Quality Improvement - Utilizes time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes
Billing & Facility Charges - Assures accuracy of patient charges and directs patients appropriately with billing-related issues or pre-certification needs
Triage - Handles nurse-directed telephone calls from patients and seeks appropriate input and direction from the physician or functions from signed protocols if applicable
Professional Development Activity - Demonstrates accountability for professional growth and job performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in nursing required
Less than 1 year of previous job-related experience required
Preferred
1-2 years preferred
