Responsibilities
Support the Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC) Unified Capabilities (UC) and tactical test facility on the Voice over Internet protocol and Legacy voice communications systems
Manage an SL-100 with DSN and commercial access to provide live voice strategic testing within the UC test facility required for certification
Support encountered issues in the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) UC network
Configure multiple Session Managers for testing to include Avaya AS-5300, Ribbon AS, NEC C3, Univerge, Unify Open Scape, REDCOM Sigma Core, HDX and Cisco CUCM for UC multivendor testing
Provide configuration of systems for UC connectivity and setup for 911, E911, ACD call center services and voice conferencing services for system certification
Setup Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) services for Call Managers and UC network management devices to include CAIRS, Callware and switch Expert on the UC network
Provide the UC network dial plan for all vendors systems connected to the JITC UC network
Qualification
Required
Clearance Level: Secret
Required Certification(s): Sec+, A+ Net+
Requires a Bachelor's degree; or an Associate's degree and at least 4 years of experience; a minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience; or at least 8 years of experience is required
The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties
Must have experience in evaluating, analyzing, maintaining, managing, or improving telecommunications system performance
Follow specific layout and diagrams to construct, implement, and operate devices and subunits of equipment
Ensure uninterrupted access to all telecommunication features in support of T&E efforts
Design, develop, and test telecommunications software solutions
Review, analyze, develop, install, and modify computer operating systems
Analyze and resolve problems associated with operating systems
Interpret manufacturer manuals or similar documents
Detect, diagnose, and report related problems
Provide user training of the telecommunications features and functionality
Make suggestions to end users regarding communications software and hardware solutions
Provide documentation/project tracking and management reporting
Coordinate upgrade specifications and schedules with internal or external users and ensure proper integration
Provide tactical and strategic input to overall network planning and related projects
