They are seeking a 2nd shift Distribution Center Equipment Maintenance Technician to provide preventive maintenance for Power Industrial Vehicles (PIV) and ensure operational efficiency through effective equipment management and collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

Upkeep, maintenance, and repair of all PIV equipment

Effectively manage conflicting priorities for PIV repair

Work closely with all supervisors and managers to ensure all troubleshooting equipment errors will be corrected quickly

Oversee PIV preventive maintenance for entire facility

Order all necessary supplies from approved vendors through MRO purchasing, coordinate urgency, and priority with purchasing

Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for maintenance and repair work

Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and part replacements

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities

Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track and complete maintenance work orders

Contribute ideas for improvements in all areas using the appropriate means of communication

Work closely with operations and production teams to understand and address maintenance needs

Collaborate with external service providers and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair tasks

Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed

Required

Prior experience with PIV maintenance

Well-rounded electrical and mechanical background

Electrical experience including repairs of broken wires, fatigues switches, etc

Knowledge of working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Ability to use all shop tools, and testing and measuring equipment

Ability to run an electric meter
