Deputy County Clerk II- Land & Vitals
Collin County Government is seeking a Deputy County Clerk II to join their Human Resources department. The role involves accurately recording real property records, issuing marriage licenses, and providing customer service while maintaining a cash drawer and compiling statistical data.

Responsibilities
Accurately recording electronic and paper real property records
Reviewing, approving and recording plats
Issuing and recording marriage licenses
Issuing certified copies of birth and death records
Certifying TABC applications for beer and wine permits
Filing DD214s
Filing foreclosure notices
Processing burial transits
Filing and recording livestock marks and brands
Issuance of the mark and/or brand certification following state legislative requirements
Recording and issuing assumed names
Processing acknowledgments of paternity cases
Maintaining a cash drawer by accurately cashiering cash, credit/debit card, and check transactions
Balancing cash drawer at end of each business day
Accurately reporting end of day transactions
Compiling and distributing statistical data
Processing incoming and outgoing mail
Assisting customers in person and on the phone in a positive and professional manner
Will perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have level of education equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency
At least two years of work experience
The ability to pass a typing test with a rate of 50 WPM
AOP certification must be obtained annually through the Texas Attorney General's Office
Must obtain and uphold clearance status in the Texas Electronic Registrar database
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Strong knowledge of software applications including Windows 10 and MS Office 2016
Familiar with terminology of different deeds (such as warranty deed, deed of trust, etc.)
Ability to perform advance data entry and scanning with high accuracy and strong attention to detail
Ability to understand and properly follow all statutes that govern duties and responsibilities
Front facing customer service experience
