Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges is seeking a Program Coordinator for their Creative Theatre Camp. The role involves ensuring camper safety, planning and delivering various program activities, and overseeing theatrical performances tailored to specific age groups.

Responsibilities

Ensure, above all else, campers are safe and well supervised

Plan, setup and deliver a variety of program activities, theme days, and performances, in conjunction with the Specialists and Counselors that keep children’s interests high; assist in performances and special events as needed. Specifically responsible for the facilitation and oversight of a theatrical performance with a particular age group

Consistently greet campers and parents with a smile and treat them with enthusiasm

Connect with staff, campers and parents, making all feel welcome and included

Review regularly with Camp Director/ Assistant Director all concerns, priorities, progress, problems, reports and all matters dealing with camp and programs

Oversee, effectively monitor and follow all safety guidelines associated with camp and all program areas

Identify and report maintenance concerns in a timely fashion

Work with Camp Director and other leadership to develop consistent communication practices and program initiatives

Work in cooperation with all staff and other programs on the property

Attend all staff meetings, special events and training events as scheduled

Supervise a group of staff assigned to a specific age group, which may include Junior and Senior Counselors as well as Counselors-in-Training

Performs other duties as assigned
