Entry-Level Geologist/Hydrogeologist

They are seeking an Entry-Level Geologist/Hydrogeologist to support a variety of water resource and environmental related projects, conducting field data collection, data management and analysis, and assisting with report preparation.

Responsibilities

Conduct environmental studies to evaluate natural resources, ecosystems, and pollution levels
Perform fieldwork, collect samples, and gather data using various methods and equipment
Analyze environmental data, including air and water quality, soil composition, and biodiversity
Interpret findings to assess environmental impacts and identify potential risks
Prepare detailed reports documenting research findings, data analysis, and recommendations
Develop proposals, cost estimates, and project deliverables to meet client expectations and quality standards
Perform technical writing in addition to fieldwork related to soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling
Conduct site investigations, collect and evaluate data, and prepare comprehensive reports
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and standards
Assist in obtaining environmental permits and approvals for projects
Manage environmental projects, including groundwater monitoring and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments
Collaborate with organizations, government agencies, and communities to promote eco-friendly practices

Qualification

AHERA Asbestos Inspector license40-hour HAZWOPER certificationEnvironmental research experienceMicrosoft Office proficiencyGIS experienceAutoCAD experienceMechanical aptitudeOrganizational skillsAttention to detailTechnical writing skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology or related field
AHERA Asbestos Inspector license and current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
3+ years of experience in environmental research, assessments, and project management
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or environmental software a plus
Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Preferred

Experience and knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Previous work experience is a plus
Mechanical aptitude for setting up, troubleshooting, operating, and/or repairing field instrumentation and equipment is a plus
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision under the direction and guidance of senior staff
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
