Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement and delivery excellence

Serve as a coach to engineering teams and product partners on agile principles, best practices, and team effectiveness

Identify, track, and proactively remove blockers and impediments that impact team delivery, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution

Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to ensure clear backlog prioritization, realistic sprint commitments, and consistent delivery against sprint goals

Drive a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven retrospectives, actionable improvement plans, and agile maturity advancement

Track and communicate key agile metrics (velocity, capacity, throughput, cycle time, defects, etc.) to promote transparency and performance optimization

Facilitate collaboration across engineering, product, QA, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and dependency management

Support teams through shifting priorities, evolving requirements, and organizational change while maintaining delivery discipline

Continuously assess and refine agile processes, tools, and workflows to enhance team efficiency and delivery outcomes

Promote a culture of trust, accountability, inclusivity, and high engagement within the engineering organization

Support effective use of agile project management tools to ensure visibility, transparency, and workflow efficiency

Required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills

Proven ability to influence without authority and drive accountability within teams

Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and real-world application

Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage team metrics for continuous improvement

High emotional intelligence with the ability to foster trust, engagement, and psychological safety

Ability to balance structure and flexibility to meet business and delivery demands

Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on execution and continuous improvement

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience)

4+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment

Demonstrated experience supporting engineering teams through full software development life cycles

Preferred

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a regulated or highly technical environment

Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent)
