Responsibilities

Design data and integration capabilities starting from business questions and decision needs, not tools or platforms
Partner with the SVP, Business Performance & Integration to define a pragmatic, outcome-based roadmap for data, integration, and automation
Ensure architectural decisions balance reliability, scalability, security, and business value
Align architecture strategy with the Steering Committee and the Office of the CISO
Design and implement the minimum viable data platform required to support enterprise and OpCo decision-making
Build and evolve ingestion, modeling, transformation, and orchestration pipelines (ELT/ETL) based on demonstrated business demand
Establish clear, consistent definitions for core metrics and datasets across operating companies
Implement governance, data quality standards, and schema discipline appropriate to platform maturity
Evolve the platform over time into a more robust data lake or warehouse when justified by volume, complexity, or analytical need
Partner with BI, analytics, and downstream consumers to ensure data is trusted, discoverable, and usable
Design and implement pragmatic API and integration frameworks (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven patterns) to support real business workflows
Own API lifecycle management including documentation, versioning, security, and performance
Evaluate and implement integration platforms (iPaaS, middleware) when they reduce friction and manual work — not by default
Leverage AI-enabled tools where appropriate to improve ingestion reliability, anomaly detection, and automation while maintaining strong governance
Work closely with IT, Business Performance, Finance, Sales, Service Delivery, and Product teams to translate operational needs into usable data
Provide architectural guidance during M&A, system migrations, and new platform rollouts with a focus on speed to clarity
Act as an escalation point for complex integration and data design decisions
Ensure all integrations and data flows adhere to security, compliance, and risk standards
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform reliability and trust
Establish CI/CD, version control, and automated testing practices appropriate to platform maturity
Design systems that are maintainable by future teams — not dependent on tribal knowledge
