InternCPH is a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architectural design firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. They are seeking an Engineer Intern to assist the design team in civil engineering tasks, complementing academic knowledge with practical experience. The intern will work on technical reports, permit applications, and project coordination under supervision.

Responsibilities
Working in collaboration with the design team to assist in preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations, and construction documents
Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction
Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and other parties associated with the project
Periodic travel to perform site investigations and construction observation
Review of specifications and shop drawings, field observations, preparation of inspection reports, and other construction administration tasks
Collaboration with other departments within CPH such as Survey, Architecture, MEP, Structural, Landscape Architecture, and Environmental to assist with project completion
Research, interpretation, and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements
Implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates
Qualification
Required
Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
Good social, communication, written, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets
Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines
Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated
Presently engaged in a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering program from an ABET-accredited institution
Preferred
AutoCAD experience is a plus
EI/EIT Certification is great - not required
