Responsibilities

Act as the bridge between ML and Infrastructure: Work closely with the Recs ML PM and ML team to understand upcoming model and system requirements. Align with Infrastructure leads on priorities, dependencies, and resource planning. Track progress, manage expectations, and communicate timelines and trade-offs to stakeholders across Recs, Infra, and leadership
Drive alignment and visibility: Maintain a clear view of all Recs-related infra initiatives, what’s planned, what’s in flight, and what’s blocked. Create documentation and updates that improve visibility and ensure the right conversations happen early
Improve experimentation methodology: Partner with Data Science and Engineering to design testing frameworks that capture impact across both sides of the network, account for ecosystem effects, and provide confident reads on retention and revenue
Evolve internal tools and workflows: Partner with Engineering to build and evolve internal tools that make the Recs team faster and more effective. The scope includes systems that identify available testing markets, detect overlapping experiments, monitor live experiments for conflicts or data anomalies, and support debugging and QA
Drive enhancements to tools like Recs Viewer or build new utilities that help engineers and data scientists test, validate, and visualize Recs changes more efficiently
Enhance reliability and speed of delivery: Identify bottlenecks across model deployment, experimentation, and data pipelines. Work cross-functionally to streamline testing, rollout, and validation workflows to increase overall delivery velocity
Establish clear testing guidance: Create playbooks, best practices, and decision frameworks for choosing between methodologies (e.g., user-level, pair market, or holdout testing) depending on feature type and objective
