Responsibilities
To assist and direct supplier improvements in the delivery of quality goods at a competitive price. To work with suppliers on J.I.T. and never-ending quality and cost improvements
Prime liaison between suppliers and the plant to Quality, Engineering and Purchasing, relative to overall quality cost and delivery improvements
Conduct in depth reviews and audits of supplier systems and develop plans for improvements in quality, cost reduction, and delivery
Administer the supplier certification program
Collect data and publish the supplier quality rating on a monthly or as needed basis
Qualification
Required
College degree in an Engineering or Business discipline
Working knowledge of Quality Control measurement techniques such as SPC, design of experiments and related methods
Ability to travel
