Responsibilities

Manage the development, planning, implementation, content sourcing, and quality improvement of leadership development sessions, in-person meetings, and virtual activities
Develop collaborative cross-departmental partnerships to align the delivery of ASCO professional development programs by creating points of connection for members, streamlining workflows, and by serving as a consultant throughout ASCO
Employ advanced project management techniques to develop consistent processes, run efficient internal team meetings, clearly define project scope and deliverables, proactively manage risks, track progress against key milestones, and ensure all team members adhere to established action items and deadlines
Maintain the integrity of operational processes for workforce engagement programs by establishing clear documentation and procedures. Monitor adherence to these processes, conducting routine reviews and collaborating with stakeholders to incorporate incremental improvements that ensure consistency, quality, and program effectiveness
Supervise and mentor staff to achieve their results and career goals through task delegation, mentorship, and coaching
Ability to work occasional early mornings and evenings to support in-person session logistics

Required

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of training and experience
6+ years of experience developing and leading programs, with educational-related programs as a plus
2+ years of supervisory experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
An openness to embracing and mastering new technology, including AI tools
Self-managed, results driven, and proactive, with a proven ability to take initiative and adapt approaches, goals, and methods to achieve solutions and results in dynamic situations
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional disposition when interacting with colleagues, customers, and volunteers
Strong project management skills with ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate across teams and demonstrate accountability
Strong planning, organization, and implementation skills with ability to deliver accurate, thorough, and high-quality work products with attention to detail
Ability to consistently develops and conducts projects, activities, and meetings in a collaborative, solution-oriented manner
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and multi-task
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to delegate tasks and projects with context and clarity, as well as motivate and develop staff, including sharing specialized approaches and skills that will increase capabilities
Excellent communication skills, including written, with ability to clearly convey and receive information
Open to receiving and taking action on feedback
Ability to master new technologies
