APRN/Instr. I – Genetics & Clinical Research
The University of South Florida is seeking a hospital-based Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant for their Department of Pediatrics. The role involves providing direct medical care to patients, participating in quality assurance projects, and may include teaching responsibilities for students and residents.

Responsibilities
Responsible for providing direct medical care to patients in a hospital setting
Typical duties include the diagnosis, treatment, operation, or prescription for any human disease, pain, injury, deformity, or other physical or mental condition
May provide clinical teaching experience for students or residents
Responsible for documentation of all orders, procedures, and progress notes on the patient's medical record
Participation in Quality Assurance / Improvement projects
Performs other duties as assigned
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university
Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities
Responsible for academic advising and related activities
May represent the university, college/school, or department
Qualification
Required
Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor
Graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64
