BizOps Leader
Effective AI is building reliable AI agents for specialized knowledge work, focusing initially on the insurance sector. The BizOps Leader will own the operational foundation necessary for product traction and growth, including building systems and processes from scratch to support customer onboarding and retention.

Responsibilities
Design and implement our first customer onboarding playbook, turning complex product into smooth activation
Build health scoring, usage tracking, and early warning systems for retention
Stand up sales infrastructure: CRM, pipeline tracking, forecasting, territory planning
Build sales collateral, demo environments, and proof-of-value frameworks
Recruit and manage domain experts to generate training and evaluation data
Design QA workflows and quality control systems for expert annotations
Establish data partnerships with industry providers, bureaus, and data vendors
Partner with CEO on fundraising materials and investor updates
Build dashboards for unit economics, customer metrics, and operational health
Own high-priority projects that unblock growth
Hire and lead first CS and operations team members as we scale
Qualification
Required
3-6 years in business operations, strategy, consulting, or high-agency startup roles
At least 1-2 years in an operational role at a high-growth company (not just advisory/strategic)
Experience building something from scratch, whether it's a process, a team, or a customer program
Builder mindset: You thrive on creating structure from chaos and get energized by 0 to 1 problems
AI-native operator: You default to using AI agents and automation to streamline workflows
Analytically sharp: Comfortable with self-service analytics (SQL, Python, dashboarding) and reasoning inductively from messy data
Commercially minded: You connect operational decisions to revenue, retention, and customer value
No ego about scope: You'll jump into any problem, whether it's writing a customer email, debugging a CRM workflow, or presenting to investors
Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid context-switching
Executive presence. You can engage confidently with technical teams, customers, and leadership
Bias for action over perfection
Deep curiosity about AI and the future of knowledge work
Preferred
