Responsibilities

Deep Understanding of Infrastructure & Team Capabilities The candidate must thoroughly understand:• Firewall and network security capabilities
Compute, processing, and storage functions
How technical teams operate, including workflow structures and delivery cycles
How infrastructure components support enterprise programs
High-level infrastructure knowledge is mandatory; financial services is a plus
Experience in highly regulated environments (HIPAA, audits, compliance) is strongly preferred
They need the ability to translate “what teams do” into meaningful business understanding—not just repeat terminology
Relationship Management Responsibilities This person acts as a trusted partner to senior leadership and will:• Maintain a high-level view of all demand on these teams
Communicate weekly to leaders regarding project/program portfolios
Articulate status across ~13 initiatives (major projects + supporting efforts for other enterprise areas like Commonwealth and Stability)
Identify risks early (“trending toward amber/red”) and escalate proactively
Understand organizational priorities and guide leaders through decision-making
Operate as a strategic advisor who fully understands the portfolio
This requires exceptional communication, professionalism, and executive presence
Program Management Responsibilities For enterprise-level initiatives , this person will be the face of the program, accountable for cross-functional movement and alignment
Key responsibilities include:• Leading bi-weekly steering committee meetings
Managing RAID logs and dependency tracking
Ensuring proper communication flow to product owners and partner organizations
Holding partner RTEs and Scrum Masters accountable for delivery dependencies
Driving visibility, traction, and alignment across all impacted areas
They must be capable of steering enterprise programs independently and confidently
RTE Responsibilities This role is the primary coach and operational leader for all teams
Key expectations:• Oversee 12–14 teams and ~7 Scrum Masters
Deliver world-class operational process execution
Host quarterly PI planning and ensure readiness
Maintain backlog health and adherence to EPMO standards
Perform governance: audit ceremonies (standups, demos, sprint kickoffs) on a quarterly rotating cadence
Evaluate team metrics, goals, and performance
Coach Scrum Masters on Agile delivery, executive-level reporting, and communication
Expert-level Agile knowledge, including dashboards, roadmaps, Jira usage, and dependency management
Strong understanding of Waterfall, because executive communication and steering structures follow that model
This person must be an expert-level delivery leader—someone teams look to for guidance and resolution
Executive Presence & Leadership Qualities The ideal candidate must:• Communicate strategically and concisely with SVP-level executives
Confidently push back on senior leaders in a polished, respectful way
Protect and advocate for their teams
Clearly articulate issue-resolution processes—not just outcomes
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and structured thinking
Bring a high degree of professional maturity and influence
