Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain control software applications for mechatronic systems using modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies

Implement automated testing frameworks and deployment strategies to ensure code quality, reliability, and seamless integration of control systems software

Develop and optimize motion control algorithms, embedded programs, and real-time control systems for industrial automation

Drive operational excellence through monitoring, analysis, and continuous improvement of software performance metrics and system reliability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, and troubleshoot issues with mechatronic systems

30% travel expected to support onsite system testing

Required

6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

4+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

4+ years of embedded software development experience

Experience deploying, and supporting mechatronic systems

Preferred

Experience with TwinCAT or Codesys

Knowledge of industrial fieldbus protocols such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT

Experience with multiple Industrial Control System platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Fanuc

Experience influencing engineering best practices within your team

Ability to travel up to 30% and eligible for international travel
