The Project Manager for Environmental Compliance will oversee environmental services contracts, manage project budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate environmental planning and safety objectives.

Responsibilities
Provide complex administrative support for environmental services contracts; develop cost estimates, contract specifications, and establish scope of services for Request for Proposals (RFPs); oversee vendor activities; review proposals, approve invoices, and ensure entry into TRAX system to track work orders; manage project within approved budget; monitor efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and recommend improvements
Manage investigations and remedial activities as applicable; ensure field work is performed in accordance with agency and government safety rules and regulations; generate reports, review and approve correspondence, and ensure project updates are distributed appropriately
Conduct field inspections and audits to assess regulatory compliance; identify and report issues; and advise engineering and construction staff of any environmental and safety regulations deficiencies
Manage and coordinate environmental planning, research, and analysis of proposed projects and plans in support of emergency response activities related to hazardous releases or spills; coordinate strategies with staff, departments, and contractors throughout various stages of planning and implementation
Review plans for new engineering and construction projects to assess compliance with federal and state regulations and recommend changes as needed
Coordinate team’s day-to-day activities, assign tasks/projects and monitor performance, and provide guidance and training, but is not a supervisor
Responsible for the safety objectives, goals, and program of the organization ensuring compliance with applicable safety rules and regulations
Works under both inside and outside environmental conditions under prevailing conditions of heat, cold, rain, and snow
Be able to wear a half face respirator and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Qualification
Required
8 years or more of required experience
