Responsibilities
Collaborate with Corporate Controller, Chief Accountant, and others to spearhead and execute financial objectives and goals
Assistant Controller will provide exceptional, people-focused leadership of the Project Accounting and Financial Accounting teams
Lead team in executing all efforts related to accounting (including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash apps, etc.), financial reporting, analysis, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting including the development and production of internal reports to assist management and executive teams
Govern cash management operations
As an Assistant Controller, you will develop, implement, and enhance financial controls, guidelines, and documentation
Assist the Corporate Risk Manager in administering insurance programs
Recruit and mentor staff, leveraging leadership expertise
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 12 years of experience in the construction/real estate development industry
Experience with insurance (such as CCIP/OCIP) project administration and analysis
Solid understanding of operational and financial aspects of a construction management
Strong proficiency in Sage, Timberline is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
Strong leadership and communication skills
Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
CPA preferred
Experience with ProCore and eBuilder is preferred
