This role is responsible for generating catering revenue, building client relationships, and ensuring quality service through collaboration with operations and sales teams.

Responsibilities
Will build rapport with clients, qualify their needs, sell the appropriate hotel to serve their needs, book the business in the Sales and Catering systems, and confirm the sale with contracts
They will prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
This person will ensure that operations and event management has all the information needed to adequately service the group
Lead and participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required
Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers
Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings
Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
Qualification
Required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Professional demeanor
Positive attitude
Mastery of the reactive and proactive sales process
Qualifying group leads and closing the business
Finding new business through prospecting efforts
Growing current producing accounts
4-year degree in business or equivalent hotel experience
One year of sales experience
