Intern, Laser Die Validation Engineer
Ayar Labs is focused on revolutionizing computing by utilizing light for data transfer. They are seeking a highly motivated graduate intern to join their laser validation group, where the intern will execute tests and experiments to validate laser die performance and assist with instrumental and mechanical setups.

Responsibilities
Execute tests and experiments to validate and verify laser die (chip on submount) performance with respect to the manufacturer’s specification and product specification
Assist with help with Instrumental and mechanical set up modifications per individual test requirements, including mechanical and optical alignment, data acquisition software optimizations and data analysis
Qualification
Required
Actively pursuing M.S. or Ph.D in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or Optics
Completed basic course structure in physics/engineering preferably including electrodynamics, calculus, solid state physics, optics or laser related areas
Strong programming skill in Python
Preferred
Prior experience working in a research lab, performing tests and optoelectronic test set ups
Independently working, motivated candidate with ability to complete assigned projects
