Responsibilities
Plans and conducts independent scope of work and technical specifications for Civil/Structural design and field investigations on large size projects or assignments in support of a global business unit
Oversight of the design, development, modification and evaluation of Civil/Structural components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures
Reviews key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, change orders, and bid summaries for the project to which assigned
Reviews the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements
Reviews complex Civil/Structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions
Develops conceptual designs for Civil/Structural engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements
Interviews client personnel to determine their needs, develops scope for cost estimates for services and participates in proposal preparation and presentation
Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting
Qualification
Required
Requires a bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
Minimum of ten years' experience with self perform Combined Cycle projects
Recognized as advanced contributor with specialized skill set
Considered subject matter expert within discipline
Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
