Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065; 990 experience a plus)
Prepare and review individual and trust tax returns
Assist the Tax Manager with complex assignments as needed
Communicate directly with clients to gather information and provide expert guidance
Advise on financial sales strategies and investment planning
Stay up-to-date on changing tax legislation affecting our clients and operations
Maintain exceptional organization and effective communication with clients and staff via verbal, written, and visual methods
Qualification
Required
CPA or EA license
Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience (small- to medium-size firms ideal)
Extensive knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and regulatory reporting
Proficiency in QuickBooks
Strong analytical skill and ability to interpret complex financial data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and outstanding customer service
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred
CPA strongly preferred
Knowledge of Lacerte and Microsoft Office (a plus)
Experience with non-profit accounting practices is desirable
