Responsibilities

Analyze measurement data from our assembly process to break down sources of variation, specifically focusing on fiber-to-chip coupling efficiency
Improve our optical link budgets and simulation models
Validate your analysis through hands-on experimental work in the lab

Required

Actively pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Photonics, Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
Strong understanding of optical physics, specifically regarding photonic components, waveguides, and fiber-to-chip coupling mechanisms
Demonstrated experience in statistical data analysis and processing large datasets
Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) is required
The ideal candidate is an independent and highly-motivated student who is able to work collaboratively and independently, and can self-manage time effectively to take projects to completion

Preferred

Experience with laboratory equipment and free-space/fiber optics for optical characterization
