Responsibilities

Assists the Wealth Management Business Support Manager with oversight of all Middle Office, Asset Management Operations, and Escrow tasks to maintain business continuity
Supports the tax reporting process by ensuring informational and fiduciary returns are filed accurately and on time, applying expertise in estate, gift, fiduciary, and income tax
Collaborates with the Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to operational procedures and policies
Drives continuous process improvement by identifying alternative methods and systems to reduce time spent on tasks
Identifies opportunities for automation and partners with Information Technology to assess feasibility and implement solutions
Partners with external vendors to explore and implement enhancements that increase process efficiency
Works with external vendors and IT Governance to perform quantitative risk analysis for all Wealth Management applications
Acts as a liaison in a business partnership role with various external vendors supporting Wealth Management, tax, and escrow functions
Reviews and approves transactions related to marketable and non-marketable assets, and oversee quality reviews on assigned procedures
Provides support to Wealth Management offices and escrow, ensuring prompt, professional, and responsive handling of inquiries in accordance with department standards and guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned
Hires, supervises, evaluates, mentors, and develops team
Performs personnel actions to include performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment
Supervises the daily activities of the team to include delegation of assignments, development of work schedules to meet required timelines, and ensures training is completed

Required

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
4-6 years experience in operations, accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skilled in verbal and written communication, including presenting information clearly in one-on-one and group settings, and drafting routine correspondence and reports
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and lead medium-sized, complex projects with minimal supervision while maintaining open communication with stakeholders
Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload, remain flexible under pressure, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing issues involving multiple variables in standardized situations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Internet research, and other common business applications
Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret technical documents such as tax publications, user guides, policies, and procedures
Competent in performing mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and calculating rates, ratios, and percentages
Demonstrates the ability to analyze information, interpret instructions in various formats (written, oral, or diagram), and apply logical reasoning to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively
Applies intermediate accounting principles and trust accounting expertise in research, application, and complex problem-solving

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
1-3 years of experience in an investment, trust, or wealth management firm
1-3 years of exposure to and knowledge of estate, gift, fiduciary income, and individual income tax
