Responsibilities

Enhance and support existing and emerging cybersecurity and traditional security capabilities for NSWCDD systems and networks

Provide expertise in developing, integrating, and maintaining secure solutions to improve NSWCDD's overall security posture

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies and procedures

Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in implementing and maintaining security controls across classified and unclassified environments

Provide operational assistance to the Special Security Office, ensuring proper handling and safeguarding of classified information and assets

Perform vulnerability and risk analyses, DISA STIG implementations, and SCAP scanning to identify and mitigate system risks

Conduct virus scanning, system hardening, and auditing to ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards

Participate in cyber threat detection and response activities to proactively identify and contain potential threats

Conduct and lead TEMPEST testing using approved test plans, procedures, and current National TEMPEST standards
