Supply Chain Specialist

Responsibilities

Manage RTP, blending WHA powders. Interphase with planners/buyers from PCM, PTA, PIN for RTP commitments. Collaboration within planning team to support and provide backup services. Steer and support GTP Part’s sales and operations planning process
Collaboration with Sales, Internal customers & department Engineers. Creating and maintaining master data, new bills of material (BOM) and product routes for new products/processes as well as maintaining current BOMs & Routes
Responsible for coordinating schedule, quantity, and capacity planning with sales and production teams; creating and releasing production orders; and ensuring material availability through collaboration with purchasing to minimize shortages and prevent schedule delays. Support continuous improvement of processes in area of responsibility to implement improvements and efficiency potentials
Use of cost information and real time monitoring of machine times to determine accurate machine rates ($/hour). Partner with the Controller to analyze production order variances and clearly communicate findings to cross-functional support teams
Machine utilization – monitoring & improvement plan – along with engineering/supervisor. Streamline and improve data accuracy of all the above processes - quoting, BOM & Route creation, and data reporting (FPY, material efficiency, machine utilization, machine rates, labor rates, machine times). Aid in Financial Cost Center Planning Process

Required

4-year engineering degree preferred (Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management) or 10 years of Supply Chain experience
Knowledge of LEAN, 5S, and Six Sigma/Statistics a plus
Experience and efficient with SAP, ERP/MRP Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, and Access, a plus
Familiarity or interest in powder metallurgy, powder processing, and database creation, GD & T is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read blueprints preferred
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization, particularly Manufacturing, Planning, Accounting, and Marketing
Basic Financial Acumen
Ability to learn SAP (ERP System)
Experience in manufacturing/production area a plus
Ability to perform in a high-energy, collaborative environment and to logically approach and solve problems
Must be a U.S. person
