Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic to join their team. The role involves working on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely, while also providing guidance and expertise to others.

Responsibilities

Work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely

Analyze and diagnose complex truck malfunctions or system failures, then determine the best course of action to return the truck to peak performance

Repair or rebuild cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, or air systems

Maintain and service trucks to ensure reliability, minimize downtime, and extend the life of each vehicle

Required

3 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair

Basic computer knowledge

Self-motivation and assertiveness

Ability to work under little or no supervision

Excellent communication and customer relations skills

Must provide own tools

Preferred

Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred

Cummins and MX software experience preferred
