Responsibilities
Design and build data ingestion models, ETLs, and testing to maintain data integrity and availability
Document data models and ER diagrams
Develop, maintain, and improve current data architecture
Design and build database schema for financial and real estate data
Collaborate with research, product, and operations teams to deepen analytical toolkit and improve workflow
Aid and perform analysis on large aggregated (e.g.: demographic, geographic) datasets
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or comparable experience
Strong programming skills with 3-5 years of experience in a scripting language (Python preferred)
Proficient database skills with experience in either MySQL, SQL, or PostgreSQL
Experience with writing API
Must enjoy problem solving, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment
Willingness and desire to keep up with new cloud technologies, languages, standards, and practices
Preferred
Proficient in a scripting language (Python preferred)
Working knowledge of SQL with ability to write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data sets
Passion for data organization and relational data structures
Knowledge of database design, optimization techniques, maintenance, and warehousing
Experience in Amazon RDS, Redshift, NoSQL techniques (e.g.: MongoDB), and similar technologies is a plus
Prior knowledge of finance or Commercial Real Estate, and previous Git experience is a plus
