Deputy Treasurer

The Deputy Treasurer provides fiscal and advanced administrative support to the Treasurer’s Office, including processing payments, maintaining office records, and assisting with the annual budget process.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Maintain operations of Treasurer’s Office, which includes answering the phone and directing customers
Maintains office records including expenditures, and juror and witness reimbursements
Complete monthly COIN entries as required by the State Compensation Board
Submit Payment Voucher requests in the OnBase/CORERP system
Submit annual budget request
Serves as back-up to City Treasurer and will perform such tasks as general ledger reconciliations, first-of-month deposit entries as needed
Provide support and contribute to the Financial Empowerment Initiatives through the Treasurer’s Office as needed
Performs other incidental duties as assigned

Required

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong grammatical skills for proofreading and editing written reports and other correspondence

Project management, including organization, planning, and execution
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Attentive response to requests for information
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and direction
Proficient in Excel and familiar with other financial management tools
Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint along with other various online applications
Associate degree or higher
Two to three years or more of administrative experience
One to two years or more of accounting/financial experience
