Responsibilities

Defines and scopes end-to-end research plans (study design, sample selection, test creation, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting) with clear success criteria relevant for business needs
Apply mixed-method research expertise, leveraging a strong quantitative background, to review and analyze data, strengthen hypotheses, and make moderately sized business decisions
Proactively identifies research needs and potential problem areas that need to be researched to drive business impact
Collaborate closely with design, product management, and engineering leads to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced environment
Partners with senior leadership (Directors and VPs) to identify business needs and makes a business case for the research proactively
Can iterate and pivot quickly in the fast-moving AI space, adapting to different prioritization needs
Links insights to strategic product directions, guiding stakeholders on roadmap prioritization
Share insights in a way that is easy to understand to activate design and engineering processes from insights for a product, product line, or service
Creates and applies communication methods that result in an emotional connection to a customer and convey real user stories
Drive impact and decision-making by acting as a great storyteller, confidentially presenting, convincing, and influencing action that manifests in product decision at the senior leadership level

Drive alignment in the cross-functional teams you work with- Who's the target customer? What problems do they most need to resolve?
Coach and support PMs and designers in doing their own day-to-day customer conversations and prototype evaluation

Required

7+ years experience in User Experience Research
OR Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 5+ years experience in user experience research
OR Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 3+ years experience in user experience research
OR Doctorate in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in user experience
OR equivalent experience
3+ years experience in research methods impacting both product direction and detailed experience design
3+ years relevant domain experience within the software development sector

Preferred

Relevant domain experience with developer tools
Strong quantitative research and data analytics skills preferred
User research experience with AI Models, agents is an asset
Background in influencing platform level decisions on data collection instrumentation
Builder/creator - you like to create and experiment with tools, processes, and new technologies
