Water/Wastewater Engineer in Training II (EIT)

As an Engineering Intern II, you will perform entry-level professional engineering work, assisting with design, planning, and various engineering tasks under close supervision.

Responsibilities
Assist with design and planning of engineering projects under supervision of the Project Manager
Report preparation, modeling, calculations, drawing preparation and revisions, and review of shop drawings and requests-for-information under Project Manager Supervision
Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, reviews modeling and basic calculations
Assist with study plans
Conduct research and preparation of draft technical specifications for review and approval by Project Manager
Interact, as directed, with clients on an intermittent basis as well as gather information from agencies as required
Perform water and sewer analysis
Prepare GIS databases and exhibits documenting existing and proposed infrastructures
Condition assessment of sewer facilities and rehab recommendations
Improvement plans for reservoirs, pump stations, and sewer lift stations
Improvement plans for major utility infrastructure
Sewer and Water Main infrastructure design
Sewer Capacity Studies
Qualification
Required
Authorization to work in the United States is required
Bachelors of Science degree in an appropriate engineering discipline is required
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam: EI certificate
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Specific working knowledge of ArcGIS software and/or WaterCAD is preferred
