Senior Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities
Accurate and timely processing of the Company’s biweekly salaried payroll in Paycor including wage calculations, deductions and direct deposits
Maintain and update employee payroll records and ensure the accuracy of data related to pay, taxes and benefits
Produce reporting on payroll metrics for internal and compliance purposes
Maintain accurate accounting of payroll on the general ledger
Supervise, assist, and backfill for hourly payroll specialist as needed
Ensure all payroll activities comply with relevant government laws and regulations, and stay up to date on changing tax laws
Act as first point of contact for salaried employees regarding their pay, deductions, and other payroll-related questions
Administer the Company’s corporate card program and ensure all charges are reviewed and coded properly
Review the Company’s employee expense reports for compliance with the Company’s expense policy
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
4+ years of relevant experience in payroll
Integrity, discretion and follow through
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to accuracy and details
Experience supervising employees
Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
Preferred
Experience with Paycor desired, and other payroll processing software
