Associate Corporate Counsel, Payments Legal
Amazon is seeking a talented attorney to support its rapidly growing payments businesses. The role involves counseling on product and service launches, negotiating transactions with financial service partners, and advising on regulatory and compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities
Advise the business on regulatory and compliance matters
Provide product development advice
Structure, draft and negotiate commercial agreements related to domestic and international payment and credit/lending products
Provide ongoing legal counseling on a wide range of matters
Qualification
Required
2+ years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent
Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
Preferred
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
Experience with financial services, payments or e-commerce
Experience in transactional work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or equivalent
Experience in working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies
