Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a talented commercial attorney to support their Sales, Marketing, and Global Services legal team. The Associate Corporate Counsel will handle transactional drafting and negotiation, provide legal counsel, and manage legal issues in commercial relationships.

Responsibilities

Support the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sales, Marketing, and Global Services legal team
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leadership
Support complex cloud technology transactions
Find and develop innovative solutions that enable scaling legal support to a global client base
Draft and negotiate highly-complex, high-value, strategic transactions
Provide ongoing legal counsel and contract interpretation guidance for business team members
Participate in other AWS legal workstreams, including managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships
Advise on risk related to new business initiatives
Handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries

Qualification

Juris DoctorLegal experienceContract negotiationIn-house legal experienceCloud computingProject management

Required

Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
2+ years of legal experience

Preferred

Experience with in-house work at a technology or internet company
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications, cloud computing services or equivalent
Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts
