Senior FACTS Electrical Engineer
GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their Grid Solutions team. The role involves driving business strategy through technical understanding and providing customers with optimal solutions, while also mentoring other engineers and ensuring the reliability of Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS).

Provides direction, oversight, and coaches other engineers as a technical mentor
Serves as Chief reviewer of technical output, makes judgments on technical conflicts
Certifies engineering automation output after tool development
Drive cost reduction programs that vary in scope and may include low cost vendor selection, design improvements, process improvements, automation, and new product introduction
Lead a team in performing RCA's (root cause analysis) and execute corrective actions
Drive culture of quality by supporting project quality procedures and initiatives including aspects of ISO9001
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering
Preferred
Master's degree
Knowledge of substation design, power systems, and experience using IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards and codes
Proficiency in software tools such as Word, Excel, Windchill Imagine, Tableau, ATP and Python
Experience with control systems, equipment schematics, installation, field-testing and commissioning of HV equipment, including required safe work habits
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license
