Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join their Molecular Virology Laboratory. This position plays a critical role in performing and overseeing complex molecular diagnostic testing for viral pathogens and ensuring high-quality, efficient lab operations while cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Required

Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or

Eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or

Possession of a restricted license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist within the area of Molecular Testing in the State of New York; or

Eligibility for restricted licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist within the area of Molecular Testing in the State of New York; or

Physician licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of New York

Doctorate degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in a Molecular Pathology clinical laboratory; or

Master's degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in a Molecular Pathology clinical laboratory; or

Bachelor's degree in one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in a Molecular Pathology clinical laboratory; or

Bachelor's degree in medical technology or laboratory science and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in a Molecular Pathology clinical laboratory

As a condition of continued employment, full license eligible incumbents must obtain and maintain the full Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure in the State of New York within six (6) months of their appointment to this title

Possession of the Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure supersedes educational requirements listed above, as stated in section 58-1.5 (b) of the NYS Codes, Rules and Regulations

The applicable clinical laboratory or blood bank experience must be from a clinical laboratory or blood bank as defined in Section 571 of the New York State Public Health Law

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices
