Quality Inspector / Material Review Board (MRB) Specialist - Customer Services
Siemens is a leading provider of infrastructure, electrification, and transportation solutions in the United States. They are seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality for assemblies and materials in their passenger railcar manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
Leads critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials
Works independently to perform complex and critical inspection processes, requiring special set-ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources
Trains and/or oversees the work of less experienced inspectors
May conduct first article inspection of parts and assemblies
Prepares, approves inspection reports, charts, and records regarding quality measures, conformance status, and quantity of material processed
Leads root cause evaluations and corrective actions utilizing quality tools
Prepares charts and simple statistical analysis
Coordinates ordering of consumables and small tools for department use
Ensures assigned areas meet 6S standards and submits equipment maintenance requests
Works effectively in a Team environment
Safety First Approach
Understanding of QMS, Microsoft, SAP and ISO standards
Well versed in Metrology tools for measurements and inspections
Must have good handwriting skills
Must have the ability to solve complex practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement and directly related work experience will also be considered
2 years or more in quality department operations
Understanding of QMS, Microsoft, SAP and ISO standards

Preferred
Knowledge of TEAMS/SharePoint 2013, Teams, SAP and other MS products
Knowledge of document control standards and protocols
Knowledge of prevailing codes (ISO 9001:2015) is preferred
Knowledge of Rolling Stock and Rolling Stock components is preferred
Strong background in use of metrology tooling
