Director, Marketing Programs
Hertz Car Sales is transforming how consumers buy used vehicles, and they are seeking a Director of Marketing Programs to lead the development and execution of brand, creative, and integrated marketing initiatives. This role will oversee brand identity, integrated campaign planning, and work cross-functionally to ensure consistent storytelling that connects emotionally with customers and aligns with business goals.

Responsibilities
Evolve and steward the Hertz Car Sales brand identity and voice to ensure consistency across all touchpoints
Lead the creative development process, from briefing to concept to execution, across campaigns, content, and owned channels
Partner with internal and external creative teams and agencies to deliver high-quality assets that strengthen brand equity and relevance
Ensure creative effectiveness by integrating insights, testing, and performance data into ongoing optimization
Develop annual and quarterly integrated marketing calendars that align with key business priorities, campaigns, and promotions
Partner with Growth Marketing, CRM, Communications, and Retail teams to translate strategic priorities into cohesive, cross-channel programs
Lead campaign planning for key seasonal initiatives, new location launches, and brand activations that drive traffic, engagement, and sales
Manage budgets and timelines across multiple workstreams, ensuring on-time, on-brand delivery
Oversee the Hertz Car Sales organic social media presence, ensuring a distinctive, authentic, and consistent brand voice
Develop content strategies for major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) that drive engagement and brand affinity
Collaborate with creative partners to produce compelling content formats, including video, behind-the-scenes, and customer storytelling
Monitor trends, engagement metrics, and audience feedback to inform strategy and creative direction
Build and manage influencer and creator programs that expand brand reach and credibility within key audience segments
Identify and cultivate relationships with influencers aligned to brand values and audience interests (e.g., automotive, lifestyle, travel)
Develop partnership activations and experiential programs that reinforce brand relevance and drive earned media
Define and track KPIs for brand and content performance, including awareness, engagement, and organic reach
Partner with Analytics and Growth teams to connect brand programs to downstream conversion and sales metrics
Present regular performance reports and insights to marketing leadership, recommending adjustments to improve impact and ROI
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing, integrated communications, or creative strategy
Proven success leading multi-channel campaigns and content programs that drive awareness and engagement
Strong understanding of modern media ecosystems - including social, influencer, and digital storytelling
Experience managing agencies, creative teams, and production workflows
Analytical and creative thinker with the ability to connect brand storytelling to measurable outcomes
Exceptional project management and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred
Ability to motivate teams and keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work under minimal supervision with a goal-oriented mindset
Ability to see the big picture and leverage critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent organization, time management, delegation, and prioritization skills
Courageous leadership and accountability
Preferred
Experience in automotive, retail, or other high-consideration categories a plus
Advanced degree preferred
