CitySprouts is a non-profit organization seeking a Communications and Development Manager to lead communications planning and fundraising efforts. This role involves overseeing donor communications, social media, and event planning while collaborating with the development and communications team to enhance community engagement.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Developing and executing all communications planning, including donor communications, social media, and website management

Overseeing database administration and event planning, and supporting grant management

Supervising a TerraCorps member and collaborating with the Director of Development and Communications and the Executive Director

Implementing a development and communications plan that increases engagement, builds community, and conveys the impact of our work to donors, program volunteers, and stakeholders

Commitment to and interest in the CitySprouts mission

3+ years of professional experience in non-profit communications or development roles, with increasing responsibility

Excellent writing and editing capabilities for the creation of various communications including informational brochures, donor correspondence and electronic communications

Strong understanding and practice of cultural humility and respect for others

Creative design expertise

Experience with social media and digital marketing

Event-planning and/or Project Management experience

Effective communication and presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to identify, collect, organize and synthesize information from various data sources

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and high comfort level with/interest in working with and managing a CRM or database

Creative, resourceful, and ready to problem solve

Willingness to function effectively both individually and as a member of a team, and to participate in activities that will contribute to the overall success of an entrepreneurial nonprofit program

Experience with organizations focused on education, youth development, social justice or similar fields

Post-secondary work experience in fundraising and/or communications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in the field; or equivalent work experience
