The role involves conducting insurance premium audits independently in the field, requiring travel and effective communication with various businesses to validate insurance records and classifications.

Responsibilities
Review audit requests
Prioritize inventory and schedule workload
Make contact with named insured to request information and documentation needed to write an effective description of business operations and gather payroll and/or sales records for the policy term
If requested, travel to business to conduct on-site interview and examine records
Research and apply appropriate manual rules and classifications to comply with insurance industry standards
Prepare written audit reports that include data analysis, calculations, and classifications
Qualification
Required
Ability to work independently
Must be dependable and self-motivated
Excellent communication skills
Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel
Pleasant, yet professional personality
Reliable transportation when travel is necessary
Preferred
Two-year degree in accounting or related subject is preferred
Experience in bookkeeping and payroll preparation considered, as well as commercial insurance expertise
