Quality Engineer

Responsibilities
Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error, determining levels of confidence
Establishes modeling, and reliability demonstration tests
Develops experiments by applying full and fractional techniques
Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods
Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests
Conduct root cause and corrective action investigations
Partner with suppliers and vendors to manage product and material quality
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, making recommendations
Department director may assign other responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in a scientific discipline
1 year of Medical Device Experience or equivalent industry
Demonstrated use of Quality tools/methodologies including process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ)
Understanding of statistical analysis and sampling plans and application of same
Familiar with Medical Device industry regulations including FDA, EN 46001, ISO 13485 and the Medical Device Directive
Familiar with Corrective Action & Preventive Action Programs
Familiar with Root Cause Analysis tools and application
Preferred
ASQ CQE a plus
Six Sigma training a plus
Lean Manufacturing Concepts and experience a plus
