Social Media Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee and drive best practices through the social media Center of Excellence, working closely with marketing managers and business line leaders to ensure unified social strategies and impactful campaign execution
Develop and manage social media content, including day-to-day curation and production, approvals, scheduling and publishing
Manage social handles, content management platforms, social listening and local SEO/location listing platforms
Support paid social campaigns, ensuring alignment with organic efforts
Lead community management, including engagement, response and escalation protocols
Monitor brand mentions, reviews and conversations; manage daily listening and reputation monitoring
Conduct daily monitoring for impersonation risks
Maintain processes, standards and procedures for social media governance, style guide and best practices
Deliver monthly social media performance reports and quarterly reporting and provide insights to optimize strategy, drive engagement and follower growth
Work independently to lead various project-oriented tasks as needed such as process improvements, calendar development and execution
Regularly monitor the competitive space and be aware of market changes, development and trends to identify potential challenges and opportunities in the short and long term
Serve as the subject matter expert for social media, providing regular guidance, training and knowledge sharing to the Marketing team and others

Required

High School diploma required
8+ years in brand/content marketing; including 3+ years in social media analytics; 2+ years with social listening and content management platforms
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
Advanced knowledge of marketing processes including but not limited to creative work, print and multi-media, vendors, ad agencies, sales management training, etc
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office including MS Project Manager, desktop publishing, etc.)
Advanced speaking and writing communication skills. Proficiency in writing and editing, graphic design and social media is required. Strong writing, presentation, storytelling and creative direction skills
Expertise in major social platforms and tools (LinkedIn, Meta, X, Reddit, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr)
Ability to work independently to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment
Demonstrated proficiency in social media video and audio production, including creating engaging multimedia content optimized for platform-specific formats and audience engagement
Enthusiasm for serving as a brand advocate and ability to manage by influence
Adept at managing through hierarchy, across varying organizational structures and within matrixed organizations. Ability to work in groups and individually to meet goals
Experience within financial services or technology industries, as well as B2B, B2C and B2B2C organizations
Occasional travel required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
Previous leadership experience
Good technical skills with the ability to pick up new tools and ideas quickly, experience with Sprout Social, Workfront, Adobe, Figma, Canva or similar tools a plus
