QA Technician I - 1st Shift (M-F 6AM- 2PM)

Woodward, Inc. is an independent designer, manufacturer, and service provider of control solutions for the aerospace and energy markets. They are seeking a QA Technician I who will be responsible for applying quality concepts, reviewing products prior to shipment, and participating in audit activities to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

Applies basic knowledge of quality concepts and creating simple charts (examples: paretos and normal distributions) to track and help drive quality improvements
Reviews and approves finished product and associated data prior to shipment to the customer. This includes reviewing test data, preparing certificates of conformance and providing any basic documentation required by the customer contract
Participates in audit activities in a supporting role. Audits may include process audits, system surveys, physical configuration audits, functional configuration audits and product audits
Retrieves traceability and configuration data in support of a product or customer audit/investigation
Performs other related duties as required to assist in the efficient operation of the department
Review and approval of quality and process documentation, as required

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
1 year of related work experience required
The ability to accomplish a task with concern for all the areas involved, including the ability to notice minute inconsistencies/faults in parts, equipment, or production processes to prevent faulty products leaving the facility
The ability to write effectively, to read and understand work documents, to communicate information clearly to coworkers and supervisors, and the ability to listen attentively and comprehend key pieces of spoken information
Ability to read, interpret and use the information presented in drawings, diagrams and blueprints to determine appropriate activities, tools, and next steps in the production process. Basic knowledge of GD&T
The ability to use computer and web-based systems to input, access, modify, or output information
Knowledge of how quality impacts the success of the organization. This may include costs to customers, costs of recalls and potential costs due to negative impacts on a company's reputation
Performs other related duties as required to assist in the efficient operation of the department
Review and approval of quality and process documentation, as required
This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR and EAR, or possess all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State Department and the U.S. Department of Commerce
