Responsibilities
Identifying potential new acquisition opportunities linked to our key strategic priorities, and contributing to the development of business cases for acquisitions, investments, and partnerships
Performing valuation analysis and financial modeling of potential acquisitions and supporting cross-functional teams to conduct thorough evaluations in the diligence process
Working on specific due diligence activities primarily on proving (or disproving) our acquisition hypotheses (in conjunction with other Akamai team members)
Collaborating with the integration team to plan diligence activities, timelines, workstreams, etc
Leading specific standalone work projects related to key strategic initiatives, including research assignments, transaction analyses, and ad hoc analyses
Participating in strategic reviews of different markets to evaluate new business opportunities
Compiling quarterly reports and tracking completed acquisitions and investments for the board of directors
Qualification
Required
Have 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree
Have experience within Investment Banking, Financial Services Advisory, Strategy Consulting, Venture Capital, Corporate Development or Business Development
Have a solid understanding of financial statements and accounting, particularly as they relate to M&A
Have an understanding of M&A process, with a keen interest for technology
Have demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in time sensitive situations and highly dynamic environments
Have high proficiency and experience with Excel and Microsoft Suite
