Required

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ag Systems or other relevant Engineering major
Willingness to live within commuting distance of the assigned location, typically in the Salina, KS or Abilene, KS area for the duration of the Summer
Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) during the Summer
Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening test within a week of your first day of employment
Providing, upon your first day of employment, satisfactory proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States, and your completion of an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to the Salina, KS area and commute to and from work and activities throughout the Summer

Preferred

Completed at least 30 credit hours by beginning of internship
Self-motivated with good project management, organization and planning skills
Ability to communicate plans and information in a concise, effective manner in both verbal and written forms
Exhibit a willingness to learn
Critical thinking skills and a positive approach to solving problems
Team player mindset and outstanding interpersonal skills
Ability to work closely with other engineers as well as team members on the production floor
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
Basic CAD software knowledge helpful

Benefits

Housing is provided for interns who currently reside outside the Salina, KS area.
Housing will be provided within a 20-mile radius of your assigned location, if needed.
