Enterprise Cloud Architect
The University of Texas at Austin is looking for an Enterprise Cloud Architect to be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of a new Microsoft 365 deployment. The role involves working with stakeholders on system installations, migrations, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

Responsibilities
Work closely with organizational stakeholders to perform system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance analysis, tuning, upgrading, patch maintenance, license management, system backup administration, and user account/environment administration
Migration of on-premise based infrastructure systems to Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC)
Ongoing routine technical maintenance (systems/applications)
Perform regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards
Implement and manage monitoring and observability solutions for cloud and on-premises environments
Direct end-user support
Other related functions as assigned
Qualification
Required
HS/GED and five years of related experience
Two years of Office 365 administration and troubleshooting experience (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
Two years experience supporting MS Teams integrated Unified Communication software
Four years of Windows Server 2016 and above and Active Directory experience, including Windows Server administration, Active Directory Administration, Enterprise Windows Server Patching and vulnerability management
Two years experience maintaining an Active Directory/LDAP domain
One year system automation experience (Puppet, Salt, Ansible, Chef, CFEngine, or general scripting support in any language)
Candidate will need to obtain a DoD 8570.1/8140 IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA CySA+ or Security+, within 6 months of hire date
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
US Citizen
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
Minimum of three years of experience in Microsoft Office 365 administration and cloud technologies (Azure and AWS)
Experience migrating a mid-sized enterprise organization into M365 from traditional on-premise posture with a strong knowledge of Office 365 migration tools and best practices
Experience building infrastructure as code using tools like CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, or similar
Microsoft Intune/Azure AD management experience
Strong scripting skills and familiarity with system integration through the use of API's
