Start in 2026 SummerVertiv is on a mission to empower the people that will power the future. They are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineering Intern to join their Energy Storage team, providing hands-on experience in testing new subsystems for battery backup products.

Responsibilities
Develop and test electrical designs for new battery management systems
Participate in the execution of testing and compliance related activities
Assist with schematic development
Interact with outside vendors and suppliers as needed (e.g. clarifying specifications, obtaining quotes for equipment)
Understand applicable national and international standards and ensure designs comply
Assist in sustaining engineering activities, e.g. evaluation of substitute components
Provide occasional engineering support for test activities being undertaken by other Vertiv product groups
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated work ethic and detail-orientation
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality work
Collaboration and teamwork
Preferred
Knowledge of NEC or NFPA 855 is desirable but not required
Experience using 2-dimensional CAD is desirable but not required
